Welcome to the Respect and Responsibility portion of the West Genesee Schools website. We are proud of our district initiative to promote respect and responsibility in all of our buildings through character education and special events. Please refer to the current event(s) listed below and visit us again for updates! .
The 14th Annual Race for Respect was a great success. Thank you to Assistant Principal Mike Free who coordinated the event, the Camillus Police Department, custodial and food service staff, all of the volunteers, and especially the community for their support. Here is a short video of the event. To view, click on the arrow below or click here if viewing from an ipad or iphone.
The purpose of the race/walk is to promote and celebrate mutual respect, acceptance of responsibility and community among members of our school and local communities. Last year over 1,100 people participated, and we look forward to increasing that number this year. Race participants may choose a 4 mile or 1.5 mile route. Local business will again provide generous denotations of fruit, muffins and water.
We all benefit from such an event as the Race for Respect. The event is open to everyone who may be interested. If you have any questions please contact Mike Free at WGHS at 487-4601.
