Sixty-five students and recent graduates of West Genesee High School have been named Advanced Placement Scholars by The College Board in recognition of their exceptional achievement on the college-level Advanced Placement (AP) Examinations. Several levels of achievement are recognized based on the number of year-long courses and examinations (or their equivalent semester-long courses and examinations).
Graduates Amar Bhatt, Nathaniel Brusa, Kristen Czerwinski, Michael DeCirce, William Ercole, Cheyanne Fedder, Lauren Galimi, Martin Leff, Margaret McInerney, Katriel Pritts, Haley Rose, Matthew Schattner, and Alyssa Zeman and junior Maureen McInerney qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction Award by earning an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP Examinations taken, and grades of 3 or higher on five or more of these examinations.
Twenty students qualified for the AP Scholar with Honors Award by earning an average grade of at least 3.25 on all AP Examinations taken, and grades of 3 or higher on four or more of these examinations. Seniors who qualified are Kenneth Brill, David Castello, Daryl Corcoran, Jenna Cunningham, Samuel Fey, Nicholas Garty, Ryan Homeyer, James Krisher, Jacob Pelton, Emma Ryan, and Caroline Spang; and graduates Gabrielle Barone, Caley Cross, Ann Eno, Andrew Fordyce, Amy Hannahan, William Hess, Tanner McGuire, Colleen Meyer, Alexander Pedrosa, and Kelly Powell also received this recognition.
Thirty-one students qualified for the AP Scholar Award by receiving grades of 3 or higher on three or more AP Examinations. The AP Scholars are seniors Gabriella Argiro, Rebecca Brien, Nathan Colabufo, James Cunningham, Shawn Davern, Samuel Dudevski, Jenna Farrell, Emily Frazee, Thomas Haag, Stephanie Kenific, Logan McGuire, and Ryan Norton; and graduates Samantha Barrella, Rachel Bousson, Abigail Cantello, Courtney Cavedine, Megan Cook, Paige Donegan, Richard Doucette, Meghan Gilheney, Katherine Keller, Rachel Landry, Samantha Murphy, Allyson Petosa, Christopher Piccioni, Samantha Picciott, Alexander Pompo, Laura Rein, Stephanie Rockwell, and Brittany Wilson.
