West Genesee Middle and Stonehedge Elementary Schools Welcome New Principals

Stephen Dunham (pictured on the left) was appointed on April 4, 2012, to the principal's position at West Genesee Middle School, succeeding Earl Sanderson, who retired from the District at the end of June.

Dunham had been the assistant principal at WGMS for two years. Prior to that he was a sixth grade social studies teacher there for ten years.

He completed his administrative internship at WGMS and has also been a summer school principal at West Genesee. A graduate of West Genesee, Steve earned a bachelor's degree from Ithaca College in marketing, his teaching certification in elementary education from SUNY Cortland,  and a master's degree in special education from Le Moyne College. His certificate of advanced studies in educational administration was earned at SUNY Cortland.

On August 8, Brent Suddaby (pictured above on the right) began his position as the Stonehedge Elementary School Gold principal for grades 3-5. 

Suddaby comes to us from the Tully Central School District where he was principal at Tully Elementary. Prior to that he was the Director of Pupil Services at Mexico Central School District where he also completed his administrative internship. He has taught at Westhill Central School District, Le Moyne College, OCM BOCES, and Liverpool Central School District.

Brent received his bachelor's degree from SUNY Cortland and a master's degree from SUNY Oswego. He received a certificate of advanced studies in educational leadership from SUNY Cortland.
