Voting Results are in: Budget Passes by 84% MarginWest Genesee residents approved the 2013-2014 budget and bus proposition on May 21, 2013. The $73,294,075 budget received 1,335 favorable votes, and 265 votes in opposition. A second proposition to purchase school buses was approved 1,220 to 375. from School District Dietician: Students Help Revamp Menus We are excited to roll out our new December Menu for each of our schools in the West Genesee District. We have put much effort into meeting the tough new federal nutrition standards for school meals, ensuring that meals are healthy and well balanced and provide students with the nutrition and calories they need to get them through their school day. We were fortunate to meet with a great group of students who volunteered their time to help understand the guidelines and give feedback on what they would like to see on their menus. MORE

West Genesee Middle School eighth-grade student, Russell Graziano faced-off against fellow West Genesee Middle School seventh grader, Collin Puchta spelling such words as filibuster and adjournment until Graziano emerged as the first place winner in the West Genesee Spelling Bee held on November 6.
