It is hard to believe that June is upon us and this is the last issue of the Stoneledger for the 2007-08 school year.
For some of our parents and all of our fifth grade students, this marks the end of their elementary years. Many of our fifth grade parents have been actively involved throughout their child’s time at Stonehedge contributing greatly to the many experiences we are able to offer. We would like to give you a big THANK YOU and extend our sincere appreciation. Without the support and involvement of parents, Stonehedge would not be the wonderful place that it is.
During July and August, we hope you find time to enjoy the weather while appreciating the slower pace of the summer months. We also hope that during the summer you find the opportunity to engage your children in a variety of learning activities, especially in reading and math. Our library staff, lead by Jane Rose, has been working diligently to provide some extended math and reading opportunities for Stonehedge students. They will be using Library Blackboard to connect with students. Children can print off the summer math packets, obtain grade level summer reading lists, and get involved in other ways. More detailed information regarding Library Blackboard is contained in this issue.
For families that will again be a part of our Stonehedge family, we continue to look forward to our partnership with you and your involvement in your child’s education. Have a safe, relaxing summer and we will see you in September.
