Nine West Genesee High School musicians were accepted into, or as alternates, to the All-State Conference to perform in Rochester, November 30-December 3, 2017. The conference, including the final concerts, will take place at the Rochester Convention Center and is sponsored by the NYS School Music Association. MORE

Budget VoteThank You to Community-Voting Results are in: Budget Passes by Over 85%

West Genesee residents approved the 2017-2018 budget and bus propositions. The $85,216,870 budget received 1,073 favorable votes and 186 votes in opposition. The proposition to purchase district vehicles was approved 1,014 to 247. Elected to the Board of Education for three-year terms beginning in July, are incumbents Shawn J. Mitchell with 877, James M. Soper with 927, and Neil B. Widrick with 882 votes. Tonya D. Wilson received 632 votes. Thank you to the community for your continued support! MORE

The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation has announced the results of its eighteenth annual "Best Communities for Music Education" survey, which acknowledges schools and districts across the U.S. for their commitment and support of music education in schools.
