211CNY – Locating basic resources such as food, shelter, employment, or health care may mean calling dozens of phone numbers, then struggling through a maze of agencies and services to make the right connections. The 211 system helps residents find resources by dialing a simple three-digit number.

Crisis Intervention for Mental Health Emergencies

University Hospital Pediatric Emergency Room – 464-5613 750 E. Adams St., Syracuse, NY. The Pediatric Emergency Department is a 10 bed emergency department with physicians specially trained in pediatric emergency medicine, including mental health issues.

Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (C-PEP) – 448-6555 24-Hour Emergency evaluations for children, adolescents, or adults in crisis St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center, 201 Prospect Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13203 *Accepts Medicaid and most insurance.

Youth Emergency Services for Mental Health (YES) – 463-1100 24-hour crisis line and mobile team for youth under age 19 who are experiencing escalating mental health issues. A mobile team can assess, give resource information, and expedite the referral process.
