211CNY – Locating basic resources such as food, shelter, employment, or health care may mean calling dozens of phone numbers, then struggling through a maze of agencies and services to make the right connections. The 211 system helps residents find resources by dialing a simple three-digit number.
Netsmartz.org – Interactive, educational program of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children® (NCMEC) that provides age-appropriate resources to help teach children how to be safer on and offline

Crisis Intervention for Mental Health Emergencies
University Hospital Pediatric Emergency Room – 464-5613 750 E. Adams St., Syracuse, NY. The Pediatric Emergency Department is a 10 bed emergency department with physicians specially trained in pediatric emergency medicine, including mental health issues.
Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (C-PEP) – 448-6555 24-Hour Emergency evaluations for children, adolescents, or adults in crisis St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center, 201 Prospect Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13203 *Accepts Medicaid and most insurance.

Youth Emergency Services for Mental Health (YES) – 463-1100 24-hour crisis line and mobile team for youth under age 19 who are experiencing escalating mental health issues. A mobile team can assess, give resource information, and expedite the referral process.
Vera House – 24-hour support line – 468-3260 Shelter, advocacy, and counseling for women, men, and children experiencing sexual and/or domestic violence
Onondaga County Child Abuse Hotline – 24-hour – 422-9701 Make a confidential report if you believe a child is being abused or neglected

Child Care Solutions: Provides information and resources to parents, providers, employers, and community leaders who seek solutions to their child care needs.
Community Resource Directory: St. Joseph’s Hospital Children’s Health Innovation Project (CHIPS) directory: The purpose of this directory is to make providers aware of potential referral resources for children, adolescents, & families.
Disabilities:
ARISE, Inc. Child & Family Service: ARISE services people of all ages with all types of disabilities, including a mental health clinic serving children, adolescents & adults with mental health issues.
Access CNY: Provides individual & family counseling for children, adolescents & adults with disabilities.
Learning Disabilities Online: Website for parents ,educators, and other professionals regarding learning disabilities of all types. Helpful ideas and links for educational interventions. Also provides question/answer feedback with professionals in the LD field.
Margaret L. Williams Developmental Evaluation Center: The center provides services to families whose young children are at risk or have developmental disabilities. Services include comprSTensive developmental screenings, child-specific consultations and professional training within the larger community.

Teaching Tolerance: Tolerance.org is a site for people interested in dismantling bigotry and creating communities that value diversity.
Domestic & Sexual Violence/Teen Dating Violence/Child Abuse:
Vera House: Offers multiple programs, including counseling and advocacy, to address issues stemming from domestic and/or sexual violence.
McMahon Ryan Child Advocacy Site: This is Onondaga County’s Child Advocacy Center. They are dedicated to ending child abuse through intervention and education.
Early Intervention:
Onondaga County Department of Health Early Intervention Program: This is a family centered program for infants and young children ages birth to three, with developmental delays or who have a diagnosed condition with a high probability of developmental delay. To refer a child to the Early Intervention Program, call the Special Children Services Intake Coordinator at 435-3230

Department of Social Services: Provides information on public benefit programs, including temporary assistance, food stamps, day care services, home energy assistance (HEAP), etc. The site also provides information on eligibility criteria, benefit levels, and how to apply.
Eating disorders:
Upstate New York Eating Disorder Service: The Upstate New York Eating Disorder Service (UNYEDS) expanded from Elmira and now also has a Syracuse location at 200 Waring Road — Sol Stone Center-Syracuse. The Syracuse location is now offering expanded treatment options for eating disorder patients. UNYEDS, which is Sol Stone Center partial hospitalization program (PHP) and the Nutrition Clinic outpatient program, now offers Sol Stone Center-Syracuse, a partial hospitalization program for all genders, 18 and older. In addition, the Nutrition Clinic office in Liverpool will offer an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for ages 12 to 17 years old.
Ophelia’s Place: Ophelia’s Place is a non-profit organization committed to empowering individuals, families, and communities to redefine beauty and health through initiatives that increase self-esteem, improve body image and introduce alternatives to dangerous desires for perfection; and to providing outreach, advocacy and educational services to those impacted by eating disorders, disordered eating and body dissatisfaction.
Grief:
Hope for Bereaved: The agency provides hope, support, and services for the bereaved, including counseling & support services.
Hospice/Center for Living with Loss: The center fosters healing and growth by providing professional grief counseling, consultation and education for both children and adults. This is provided individually as well a in a group setting.
Mental Health Services:
Youth Emergency Services for Mental Health: Youth Emergency Services for Mental Health responds to mental health emergencies (such as threats of harm to self or others) of children 18 years and younger in Onondaga County (New York). It provides a single point of information and access for people concerned about the safety or welfare of a child experiencing a mental health emergency in Onondaga County.
