On July 11, 2023 Victoria (Torie) Lee was appointed by the Board of Education as the Assistant Principal at West Genesee Intermediate School with an official start date of August 2, 2023.
Lee comes to us most recently having served the students of Eagle Hill Middle School (Grades 5-6) in the Fayetteville-Manlius CSD as a Special Education Teacher and an Administrative Intern. Her previous work includes Enders Road Elementary School (FM) as well as John T. Roberts (PK-8) and Bellevue Elementary School in the Syracuse City School District.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a concentration in Childhood and Special Education from Le Moyne College and a Masters of Science in Literacy Education from SUNY Cortland. She holds certificates in Childhood Education (Grades 1-6), Students with Disabilities (Grades 1-6), Early Childhood Education and Students with Disabilities (Birth- Grade 2), and a Certificate of Advanced Studies (School Building Leader and District Leader) from SUNY Cortland.
Superintendent David C. Bills shares, “Torie is an experienced and well-versed educational leader with a background in classroom instruction, special education services, professional development, and in successfully cultivating a positive and productive school environment. Her support of students, parents, and staff has included solution-based, creative, and individualized processes that fosters relationships through strong communication.”
On a personal note, Lee shares that she enjoys traveling, hiking and spending time outdoors. Lee is a big sports fan and enjoys cheering on Syracuse University and the Buffalo Bills. While at home, she likes to spend time with her friends and family.
