milk shortage

West Genesee CSD received a letter from our milk supplier notifying us of a nationwide milk carton shortage that will impact our school meal program. Our milk suppliers, along with others across the nation, are experiencing a shortage of the half-pint cartons that are typically used for our school meals. The shortage is expected to last for several months.

Our suppliers are seeking alternative solutions to the packaging issue but in the meantime, once our current supply of milk in cartons is gone, we will serve milk in a cup with a lid.  If something should change, we will notify you.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to our Food Service Director, Emily Cullen at 315-487-4661.
