Yesterday CMS and WGHS students participated in the CNY Olympiad at FM along with 550 other students in the area. They had a great time and a lot of fun.

Our Stonehedge counselor Mrs. Fano was a third grade Library guest reader! The focus was on identity, and everyone learned that all voices and ideas are important and we can send messages through our actions, not just our words.

West Genesee High School has 42 students receiving the NYS Seal of Civic Readiness. This is the second year we are offering it here at West Genesee.
Civic-ready students use civic knowledge, skills, and mindsets to make decisions and take actions for themselves, their communities, and public good as members of a culturally diverse, democratic society.

LECNY Poster Contest Winners
Camillus Middle School eighth graders Leanne Mere and Hannah Nguyen are the grand prize winner of the LECNY (Language Educators of CNY) National World Language Week poster contest.
LECNY (Language Educators of Central New York) is a professional organization made up of language teachers Pre-K-16, administrators, and post-secondary students within the seven New York counties of Cayuga, Cortland, Herkimer, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, and Oswego.
They will be presented with the award at a future meeting along with their teacher and families. Congratulations!
