Dear East Hill Elementary School Families,

It's been another great week at East Hill! I've been popping into classrooms, enjoying the various lessons in every grade level. Students in 3rd and 4th grade have been learning about Ancient Rome and the Middle Ages, respectively. Second graders have been making some scientific inquiries about changing habitats. First graders have been exploring comparative literature with similar folktales from China, Germany, and Botswana. And in Kindergarten, students have been practicing their letter sounds.

Speaking of Kindergarten, congratulations to Ms. York's class for winning this month's "Golden Spatula" award for demonstrating the best behavior in the cafeteria. We celebrated their success with an ice cream party. The kindergarteners have set the bar pretty high for meeting our behavioral expectations!

If you have not yet done so, we would appreciate your feedback on our annual School Climate Survey (see below for details). The survey takes about 10-12 minutes to complete and your responses help inform our Strategic Planning decisions.

Finally, I'm looking forward to next week's combined 3rd and 4th grade Choral performance! You are in for a treat!

Have a great weekend!

Sincerely,

Rob
