Dear East Hill Families,
Welcome back! I hope this letter finds you well-rested and rejuvenated after our week-long break. As we return to our familiar routines, I am thrilled to share the exciting events that unfolded throughout the past week at our beloved school.
Our second-grade students embarked on an educational journey to the Museum of Science and Technology, where they immersed themselves in hands-on learning experiences. Exploring the wonders of science and technology undoubtedly sparked curiosity and ignited a passion for discovery among our young scholars.
In addition, we hosted a heartwarming Kindergarten Readiness Night, extending a warm welcome to our incoming kindergarten students and their families. It was a joyous occasion filled with anticipation and excitement as we prepared to welcome the newest members of our East Hill family.
As we gear up for the week ahead, I would like to remind you that our third and fourth-grade students will be undertaking the NYS Math assessment on Tuesday, May 7, and Wednesday, May 8. Your support and encouragement during this time are greatly appreciated as our students demonstrate their knowledge and skills.
Furthermore, mark your calendars for our upcoming events! Our PTA Book Fair will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, offering an array of literary treasures for all ages to enjoy. Additionally, don't miss our Spring Open House on Wednesday evening from 6-7pm. For your convenience, please park at St. Joe's Church parking lot and take a bus ride directly to the East Hill front door. We look forward to showcasing the incredible learning experiences taking place within our school community.
Finally, as we celebrate Educator Appreciation Week, let us take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated staff. Their unwavering commitment to nurturing and inspiring our students is truly commendable, and we are immensely grateful for all that they do.
Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our East Hill family. Together, we strive to create a nurturing and enriching environment where every child can thrive.
Warm regards,
~Susan
