Dear Stonehedge Families-
We have had a fantastic few weeks here at Stonehedge. The Veterans' Day celebration last Thursday was certainly a highlight of the month. The Third Grade Chorus performed under the direction of Mrs. Causer and Mrs. DeMartini sang beautifully. I hope it was touching to our families with Veterans. This week 3rd graders have been learning about the human body systems and have participated in a virtual field trip to the Buffalo Zoo. AND... if you have a 4th grader, you should ask them about their study of the Middle Ages. They have been reading and writing all about that time in History. Finally, our 4th graders and UPK students took a walking trip to WGIS to see the production of Rudolph. All of the students had a great time.
Next week, we have two half days for families to conference with Teachers. We will dismiss K-4 students beginning at 11:15am on Monday 11/20 and Tuesday 11/21. Our UPK students will begin dismissal at 12:00pm on both days.
Our District values your feedback! On December 4, 2023, we will be asking you to take a brief survey to tell us about your experience with the West Genesee Central School District. To ensure we continue to provide high quality, rigorous learning experiences that meet the needs of our learners and prepare them for college and career, we need your feedback. We thank you in advance for your thoughtful responses as they inform our Strategic Planning decision-making processes. The survey window will be open from December 4 - 18.
Take a peek at the Attendance Matters document below. We are really working on connecting with families on the importance of attendance. Students need to be present in school to learn. Please help us best support your child by focusing on attendance, too!
I hope you have an enjoyable Thanksgiving!
~Amanda
