Dear Stonehedge Families-
Happy New Year to you and your family! The new year is a great time to review and revisit school wide expectations. Please help support us at home as you talk to your child about being respectful, responsible and safe in all school settings (classroom, bus, cafe, playground, gymnasium, library, and hallways). Also, since the cold weather has finally come-- please be sure to send your child in with winter gear (coats, hats, gloves, snow pants and boots). We'll go outside whenever possible.
The STEAM Showcase is coming soon. Ask your child about his or her ideas about participating by showcasing a talent in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art or Music. Our third grade chorus will perform and all students will have artwork on display. (The kids have been super excited to be working with clay this week!)
The new year brings us excitement and energy. It is fitting that the P2 trait this week is Optimism. Over our morning announcements, students shared how impactful being optimistic is in all areas of our life. We celebrated one other's optimism with our weekly Wildcat Wow Raffle. I hope you'll find opportunities at home to discuss being optimistic! The kids have really learned a lot about this character trait.
One small reminder for the new year... could you please be sure to only send water in water bottles for classroom use? If you'd like to send a healthy drink option for lunch that is fine, but students should only drink water in water bottles for daily classroom use. (You can imagine the mess when the bottle spills if it isn't water! ) Thank you in advance.
