Dear Stonehedge Families-
We have really enjoyed getting back into the swing of this after our Memorial Day break. Yesterday was my favorite day of the year-- The Wildcat Olympics. What a great event to bring our community together. Check out the pictures below!
While the school year is starting to wind down, the intense learning continues throughout the school. The second-grade students have been learning all about the War of 1812 and the third-graders are digging into geometry. You should definitely ask your child about all that he or she is learning. It really is amazing. If you find you don't get much about the day from your little guy or gal, try asking more specific questions. For example, "What did you learn about math/reading today?" or "What was the most interesting thing you discussed today?" or "What made you laugh while you were at school?" or "What did you write down today?"
Field trips are another exciting memory for our students. Several grades have gone on field trips over the last few weeks and we have a few more planned in the coming weeks. Please be sure to send in the necessary permission slips for those trips.
The PTA is so supportive and we are so grateful for all they do to support our school. I hope you and your family can join us at our PTA Friday Family Fun Night tonight beginning at 5:00 pm. It should be a great way to kick off the weekend.
Enjoy-
Amanda
