Outdoor/Indoor play and PE:
Please send in proper snow attire for outdoor play. Also, please remember to send sneakers for indoor play and PE.
Change of Clothes: Students often have spills at lunch, wetness after outdoor play, and occasional accidents at school. Please have a labeled change of clothes available for your child to keep in their backpacks in case they need it. There is a limited change of clothes in the health office; a call home for change of clothes may occur as needed.
Staying Healthy:
Please review the process of handwashing and proper cough etiquette with your child. This is a simple way to help prevent the spread of germs.

Isolation and Exposure Calculator:
The CDC has an Isolation and Exposure Calculator that is very helpful if you or your child tests positive for Covid. Visit the CDC site link:Isolation and Precautions for People with COVID-19
To keep everyone healthy this winter please keep in mind, students should not be in school if they have:
- Fever at or above 100 degrees
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Cough that is persistent or an unusual level of severity
- Flu
- COVID-19+
In general, your child should be without fever, vomiting, or diarrhea for 24 hours with no use of medication, before they return to school.
Attendance/Absence: As a reminder, you may submit a student’s absence through the Parentvue app Located on the West Genesee Website. You may also call the health office (315) 487-4658 and leave a message if there is no answer. Please feel free to reach to me anytime – call or email with any questions or concerns.
