As part of our school’s participation in the OCM BOCES Alcohol and Drug Prevention Education Program (ADAPEP), funded by the NYS Office of Addiction Services and Supports and Onondaga County, our students will have the opportunity to participate in the Botvin’s Elementary LifeSkills substance use prevention program.
Students participating in the LifeSkills program will learn:
Self-Management Skills
General Social Skills
Drug Resistance Skills
This program is being taught to students in third and fourth grade at Split Rock. I will be teaching weekly lessons in all third and fourth grade classes for approximately 30 minutes, for 8 weeks.
