This week, we had to make some tough decisions regarding the heat index and weather. Out of an abundance of caution, we prioritized the safety and well-being of both our students and staff. We are pleased to report that these decisions led to a safe and productive week for our Wildcats.
A huge thank you to the Split Rock staff for ensuring that opportunities and experiences were not missed but simply adjusted! It truly takes a village!
The finale of our week was the 2024 Split Rock Field Days. Although held indoors, our kids enjoyed a range of activities, from corn hole relays and gaga ball to popsicles and parachutes. Special thanks go to Mr. Gangemi and Miss Clark for quickly reorganizing the event, to the staff members who adjusted their rooms and supervised stations, and to the PTO for donating the popsicles. The students had a great time and made the best of the situation.
We look forward to celebrating our Grade 4 students on Monday, June 24 at their Grade 4 Recognition Ceremony. It has been a great journey and we are excited to enjoy this special time with them.
“The Rock” is an amazing place to be a part of, and I could not be more proud of this school community.
This is a reminder to all parents that Monday, June 24, and Tuesday, June 25 are half days. Tuesday is the last day of school for students, with dismissal beginning at approximately 11:10 am car, 11:15am bus. Please send a note if your child's routine will change for Monday and Tuesday.
BE AWESOME!
Mr. Kimpland
