The curtain opens on February 8-10, 2024 for West Genesee’s enchanting performance of Cinderella. This fresh, new 2013 Broadway Version remains the heartfelt tale that we all know and love. The characters wish to take charge of their own lives and destinies. Landing a prince will have to be earned, but the magic we have come to expect is ever-present.
An idealistic, charismatic, and hopeful Ella (Danyella Roper) lives in the care of her selfish stepmother, Madame (Sammi Bullock), who simply desires to climb the social ladders with her daughters. Well, at least with her daughter Gabrielle (Joanna Ray). Loud and sassy Charlotte (Sophia Knowlton) is often her mother’s dismissive afterthought. Ella’s only friends in the world are the animals in the woods, “crazy Marie” (John Diem) and the revolutionary student Jean-Michel (Joe Paoli). Meanwhile in another part of the kingdom, the misguided and lost Prince Topher (Dan Alvaro) is trying to learn his place in the kingdom. That is, when he is not off slaying dragons! In an attempt to control the throne, his scheming advisor Lord Chancellor Sebastian (Jacob Scerbo) suggests throwing a ball. Lord Pinkleton (John Panek and Angelo Procopio) issues the decree that anyone who can afford a nice dress must attend so that the prince might meet a potential bride. With song, dance (dance captain; Enya Dafoe) and a flash of magic, Ella and Topher’s worlds collide.

WGHS will be presenting Rogers and Hammerstein's Cinderella on February 8 (7:00 p.m.), February 9 (7:00 p.m.) and February 10 (1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.).
