Dear Students and Families,
On June 4, 2024, our Algebra I students will be taking the New York State Algebra I Regents exam. The following local exams will also be administered that day: Spanish 4, French 4, and Anatomy and Physiology  All other students grades 9-12 will NOT ATTEND that day, only those taking the tests.

Here are the logistics for the Regents Exam and local exams:

  1. The exams will start promptly at 8:00 a.m. Students will have until 11:00 a.m. to complete the exam, unless they have accommodations. All students must stay 2 hours until 10:00 a.m.. Once they finish their exam, they should report to Cafe 1 to wait for a bus or their pick up ride or they need to exit the building for the day.

  2. Students should arrive at school at the regular time, lock their cell phones, backpacks and other electronic devices in Cafe 1 and proceed to the testing location.  We will take attendance in the testing sites.  Students with an IEP plan will report to the library or LGI. Students with a 504 plan and Homebound students will report to C115 Learning Center or C213 DLR. Case managers should inform students of their test location.

  3. Transportation - Buses will bring students to school on the regular morning bus run. Students taking exams should report to Cafe 1 to turn in their phones. Please remind students to bring a pen, pencil, calculator, ruler, compass if needed to each exam. Students are required to stay 2 hours for the Regents exams. They have 3 hours to complete the exam unless they have alternative accommodations.  Students with accommodations that result in testing past the late buses will need to arrange for a ride home. We will have an 11:15 a.m. bus pick up, and a 2:00 p.m. bus pick up. Students should wait in Cafe 1 until the buses arrive after they finish their exams.

  4. AM BOCES students can attend BOCES and the bus runs will operate as normal.

  5. PM BOCES students will be able to attend BOCES and the bus runs will operate as normal with pick up at the high school.

Room assignments for testing locations will be published on the website soon and will also be included in an upcoming e-Newsletter. Students will also be notified of their testing location by their teacher.

Sincerely,

Thomas Vaughan, Principal
